Na de VERSUS-editie van twee dominerende merries tegenover elkaar, zijn je favoriete pony’s terug in de Wibar – en deze keer met Lucas Boston & Pavvvvvvlo. Twee hengsten die de kudde gaan aandrijven.

 – de Australische krachtpatser brengt een mix van underground techno en rave die de boel op scherp zet.

 – uit Madrid en voor het eerst in Nederland. Bekend om zijn sets vol hardgroove, acid, neorave en industrial. Hij jaagt het tempo van de kudde naar het maximale.

Op de langste dag van het jaar, de kortste nacht van het jaar – en tevens de échte aftrap van de zomer is er in de Wibar op zaterdag 21 juni weer een LVC dansavond!

De voorbereidingen zijn alweer begonnen, we hebben er weer zin in met een avond met oude en vertrouwde DJ’s die zorgen dat je het vuur uit de voeten danst. Dus kom genieten op onze Midsummer Party tot diep in de nacht met de volgende DJ’s en VJ!

Dr. Bob zal de avond openen. Hij is muzikant en DJ, heeft zijn roots in het New Wave tijdperk. Speelt als drummer in diverse bands. Heeft al meerdere keren op onze avonden gedraaid. Zijn voorkeur is eind jaren 70 begin jaren 80 wave en liedjes. Maar draait ook 90’s Britpop en aanverwanten.

DBD (LVC, Nobel, Are Friends Eclectic?, Fade To Grey) keert na een kleine 2 jaar terug op de LVC Swingavond in de Wibar. In zijn set ligt de nadruk op new wave, EBM en electro, met uitstapjes naar o.a. dance-punk en 90's rock.

Pter & Rtger zijn voor deze nacht jullie muzikale druïden. Zij gaan jullie verwennen met donkere klanken vanuit het zwartlicht. Geen steen blijft overeind.

21:00 - 03:00 **VJ Henry**
Henry Verboket al vanaf begin onze feesten als VJ betrokken. Hij begon z'n pop-visuals te ontwikkelen in het LVC. Eerst schilderend, zoals bij voorbeeld tijdens optredens van Immortal en in 1987 z'n eerste VJ optreden tijdens een voorstelling van Holland Amerika in Lantaren/Venster. Zijn meest geliefde podium echter, is en blijft de Alternatieve LVC swingavond!

Entirely self-produced, the band has reiterated their favourite elements of the 70s and 80s legacy of the Afro-Latin psychedelic music of Colombia and Peru, interpreting it through the context of modern day Amsterdam. The output is a lo-fi No Wave groove rooted in a deep love of champeta, Palenque, psychedelic cumbia, chichi, classic afrobeat and picó soundsystem culture.

Basement - community event

Na drie fantastische edities zijn we terug voor de vierde ronde! Op 16 augustus komen we opnieuw bij elkaar om te proosten op het Wibar Bierfestival. 🍻

Ook deze editie hebben we weer een toffe groep brouwers op bezoek! Met Seagull Brewing uit Utrecht, Crooked Spider uit Wassenaar, Rolo1977 uit Hellevoetsluis, Pronck, Leidsch Bier en The Bearded Cider Maker uit ons mooie Leiden en zoals altijd is Brouwerij de 12 Stuyvers er ook bij! Meer dan genoeg lekkers van de tap en uiteraard zorgen wij voor lekkere snacks en een tof muzikaal programma.
