90’s Rave returns to Wibar on Friday January 30th. A night rooted in the spirit of the 90s, focused on music that keeps the floor moving non-stop.

Leiden's NANTON opens with an all vinyl set. Raw selections, no shortcuts, just records doing the work. PHIA brings a sound that sits deep in house, with touches of breaks, electro and acid woven in. Her sets flow naturally, building a steady energy that’s felt across the room. On February 6th we welcome one of the most talked-about acts of the moment to Wibar: 

This five-headed crew is reshaping the trance landscape with a deep-rooted love for the golden era of the 90s and early 2000s, while keeping their sound firmly grounded in the present. After years of exploring leftfield house and techno, the friends reconnected over their shared passion for peak-time trance and quickly emerged as one of the scene’s most exciting forces.

Known for their unmistakable all-white aesthetic and the SHOW YOUR EMOTIONS mantra, SUPERSTRINGS fully embrace the emotional core of trance culture. Their sets are anything but ironic. Expect carefully reworked classics, forgotten gems and high-energy originals, all blended into a sharp, modern and unmistakably Superstrings sound.

Behind the decks, their chemistry is impossible to miss. The group delivers a hi-NRG take on trance packed with unexpected turns, big emotions and serious momentum. Add their reputation for sold-out stage hostings and legendary large-scale parties across the Netherlands, and you know exactly what kind of night this is going to be.

Setting the tone for the night is Vall du Son, whose sound fits seamlessly into the emotional and forward-pushing energy of the evening.

Op 15 februari is Bekijk Het Maar terug met een derde editie!

En voor Valentijnsdag pakken we uit! We zullen het meeslepende Portrait of a Lady on Fire (2019), geregisseerd door Céline Sciamma vertonen. Voorafgaand aan de film, zal er een diner worden verzorgd door Max Plompen van Bekokstoofd.

Neem je date, of dit nou je geliefde, beste vriend, crush, moeder of situationship is, mee naar een heerlijk diner gevolgd door een onvergetelijk prachtige film over queer liefde, voor een Valentijn om nooit te vergeten.

Voor wie met ons mee-eet begint de avond om 18:30. Voor zij die alleen voor de film komen is de inloop vanaf 19:30. De film zal beginnen om 20:00 en is Engels ondertiteld.

Bekijk Het Maar | Portrait of a Lady on Fire (2019)

On February 20th, we welcome one of our all time favourite DJs to Wibar. Octo Octa joins us for a very special night, supported by jannah and Foghan.


Octo Octa is an artist who plays from the heart and straight to the dancefloor. Her sets are emotional, ecstatic and deeply human, constantly moving between house, techno and breakbeat with a sense of joy and vulnerability that is unmistakably her own. As a radical queer trans woman, her work is openly autobiographical and rooted in connection, healing and celebration. Through her music and her label T4T LUV NRG, which she runs together with Eris Drew, she has helped create a platform that celebrates trans love, visibility and the magic of the dancefloor.

Her uplifting and emotional sound has been embraced on dancefloors around the world, from intimate clubs to festivals like Sónar and Dekmantel. At Wibar, she will play an extended three hour vinyl set.


Opening duties are in the hands of jannah, a Utrecht based DJ with a sharp ear for raw and underground electronics. Drawing from early house, electro, acid and techno, her sound is gritty, unpredictable and built on strong grooves, punchy basslines and stripped back rhythms that keep the floor moving.



Also on support duties is Foghan, a true vinyl connoisseur and long standing ambassador of house music culture. His selections are warm, soulful and deeply rooted in the underground, shaped by years of dedication to the scene and an uncompromising love for the music.

Live in De Loods returns on February 27th, with the first edition of our locals event, celebrating the vibrant sounds of Leiden's musicians.

From everything live to everything Leiden, this night is all about local music, local culture, and local energy. Wibar proudly welcomes two great local acts to the stage, bringing Leiden’s music scene to life. Expect gezellige vibes that will sweep you off your feet - standing still is not an option.

With Pineapple Road and Van Beukering, we’re in for a energetic, cheerful night. Pineapple Road serves up indie pop with a funky twist: catchy melodies, irresistible grooves, and sunlit beats that make you move. Add in hypnotic visuals and their iconic disco pineapple, and every show feels like a mini festival.

Van Beukering brings 90s happy hardcore roaring back to life with blazing brass, pounding beats, and relentless energy. This happy-brasscore band fuses old-school guilty pleasures with raw live power, pushing the party to a whole new level.

Everything's crazy expensive, nobody has a coin to spare, but we still need to go out. Therefore, we're introducing Hard voor Weinig: cheap tickets and a line-up that goes hard. 
The budget is 0, but the dancefloor 100. Emma Liontina, Tjetjoebetja and DJ Bami will be bringing some banging Techno, Ghetto House and UK Garage. We´ll bring our best effort in decoration - as long as it don't cost a thing.

We are teaming up with Rastaplas Festival to welcome one of the most iconic sound systems in the Netherlands. King Shiloh Sound System brings their stacks to Leiden with the full setup, the full crew and the deep roots energy they have carried across the world for more than three decades.

Founded in Amsterdam in 1991 and inspired by Jah Rastafari, King Shiloh has grown into an international force within roots reggae and dub. Their handmade forty kilowatt six way stereo sound system sits at the centre of everything they do. It is the engine behind their sessions, their label Majestic Music and their reputation as pioneers across Europe.

King Shiloh is known as the traveling sound. In the past twenty years they have covered more ground with their system than any other in Europe, their presence has shaped the culture far beyond the Netherlands.

For this night they are bringing a powerful line-up from the Shiloh family. Alongside Bredda Neil you will see Majestic Bee, Lidj Shiloh, Rapha Pico and DJ Ewa Sound. Expect vocalists, operators and selectors who know exactly how to push a session to its highest point.

Rooted in Rastaplas tradition and carried by one of the most respected sound systems in the scene, this night will be a full vibration. , she moves effortlessly between precision and intuition, creating moments of pure release on the dancefloor.

Laboratorium founder Valody joins the bill, bringing her signature intensity and forward momentum, alongside Varuna Agosti, whose fluid and genre-blending selections connect rhythm, emotion and movement with ease.

On the 20th of March we mark the moment where darkness and light meet in perfect balance. Don’t worry though, the days may be growing longer… but the night still belongs to us and this is gonna be a special one.

Ploegen op rotsen. Zonder weerstand geen schoonheid. Ploegendienst is nog altijd 100% anti-alles, "zeker anti-alles wat mensen zeggen dat je moet zijn." Ploegendienst is niet die band die je vorig jaar een kroeg zag afbreken, ook al lijken ze daar misschien wel op. Ploegendienst is "constante groei", "geen angst"; een constant spanningsveld. De vier leggen elkaar het vuur aan de schenen, pulken het bloed onder elkaars nagels vandaan - en al die wrijving gaf nog nooit zoveel glans als op het nieuwe album DSM-5.

Noem het hardcore, noem het punk, noem het "venijnige popmuziek". Noem het wat je wilt, het maakt niet uit. Ploegendienst gaat rücksichtslos te werk en bestaat alleen in het moment. Dat moment? Dan moet je de punkband rond Ray Fuego live aan het werk zien.

Een uitverkochte tour met de vrienden van Jeugd van Tegenwoordig, shows in de beste clubs van Nederland en België en volle festivalzomers -waaronder Pukkelpop, Pinkpop en Lowlands- zet de band definitief op de kaart.
