Een Absurde Toestand? Ja graag. 28 november verandert de Wibar in een nieuw universum met meer dan 20 absurde artiesten op verschillende podia.

‘Een absurde toestand’ is voor iedereen die nieuwsgierig is, van theater houdt, absurdisme niet schuwt of voor wie gewoon eens iets ongewoons wil meemaken. “Het daagt je uit om anders te kijken, te lachen, en te twijfelen. Want weten wij veel wat er te gebeuren staat.”, aldus Roggeveen|Olijerhoek. Zorg dat je erbij bent, want dit is een unieke, eenmalige experience die je nooit meer in deze vorm zal meemaken.

Verwacht installaties die je uitdagen, performances die de zinnen prikkelen, verwarren of je omverblazen. Je weet letterlijk niet wat je meemaakt.

Een Absurde Toestand is geen gewoon evenement; het is een kans om de wereld eens vanuit een ander oogpunt te bekijken.

Sound Metaphors are celebrating a decade of digging, dancing and dedication and we’re honoured to host a stop on their anniversary tour.
What started as a Berlin record shop has grown into one of the city’s most influential labels and cultural hubs, connecting collectors and dancers across the world. 🌀


For this special night, the Sound Metaphors crew take the reins themselves and invite two long-time friends: Hunee and Marsman.


Hunee’s sets are journeys through time and emotion; radiant, unpredictable and deeply human. His fearless approach to blending sounds from every corner of the world turns each performance into something special.


At the helm of his beloved label, Marsman has spent over a decade preaching the Pinkman sound to devoted followers. With more than a hundred releases to his name and appearances at Panorama Bar, Tresor, Khidi and beyond, he’s become a cult figure in underground music. For this night, he’s bringing a shimmering Italo set built for the dancefloor.

None other than Pola & Bryson are joining us on December 6th, and we couldn’t be more stoked. We’ve been massive fans of their work for years; their productions always bring a completely fresh sound, and their sets flow effortlessly between heavy-hitting bangers and ethereal soundscapes.

Of course, a lineup like this wouldn’t be complete without a stellar support section. Kietsune, Prodace, Lost in Translation, and Mr Green are ready to serve up their sauciest selections and keep the energy rolling all night long.

This night she takes complete control, weaving five hours of unrelenting energy into one long trip. A chance to lose yourself to the uncompromising sound and stamina that made her one of the most exciting names in techno today.

ALL NIGHT w/ Dr. Rubinstein

On Sunday December 14th, the Leiden Palestine Coalition and Wibar are hosting a fundraiser for Palestine. A broad group of organisations and community members from Leiden are coming together to create a space for conversation, reflection and action. We highlight what is happening on the ground, share stories and look at what we can do from here in the Netherlands and why that matters.

We will raise money for 

, an organisation that has been committed to the Palestinian cause for many years. All donations will go to the Palestine Fund which provides clean water and essential supplies in Gaza. Everyone is welcome. Young and old, people who want to learn more or take their first steps, and those who have been engaged with the Palestinian cause for a long time.

The evening will include performances, talks and activities for all ages. Guests include storyteller Sahand Sahebdivani, Ester van der Most from Plant a Olive Tree and Berber van der Woude from The Rights Forum. There will also be tattoo artists, children’s activities and Palestinian food and snacks throughout the night. The full programme will follow soon. We hope to see you there. 🫂

Het is weer zover: tijd voor onze 4e KerstSwing op 20 december in de Wibar! 

Kaboem & Ratata de Herdertjes bij Nachte zijn de eerste die achter de draaitafel staan. Deze herders lieten in 2011 al de KerstSwing in het oude LVC beven, draaiden al twee keer eerder voor jullie én gaan deze keer weer een feestelijke explosie van beats en kerstvreugde geven. Dus geen stille nacht, maar een swingende sterrenhemel.

Dan is het tijd voor SantaPete & The Dark Snowman. De een brengt de cadeaus, de ander smelt de boel los. Bekend van vorige avonden, maar nu voor het eerst bij ons op het kerstprogramma én dat belooft wat. Hun sets zijn onvoorspelbaar, aanstekelijk en altijd feest. Verwacht mooie parels, dansbare verrassingen en een sfeer die je niet snel vergeet. 

En dan de laatste: Nocturnal Dragnet. Draait niet in het licht, maar laat je dansen in de schaduw. Bekend in de internationale goth-scene. Met jarenlange ervaring op alternatieve feesten wereldwijd staat hij garant voor een duistere, dansbare mix van goth rock, postpunk, new wave en underground parels—altijd stijlvol en verrassend. 

De VJ’s Petronella en Henry ondersteunen de muziek met hun leuke en vaak humoristische visuals. Zij schilderen met pixels. Soms herken je iets. Soms niet. Dat is precies de bedoeling. 

Je mag je voor deze avond natuurlijk in volle kersttooi hijsen, maar neem vooral jezelf mee,…..want alles mag, als je maar beweegt. En natuurlijk niet te vergeten: het is bijna de langste nacht van het jaar. Vanaf hier wordt het weer lichter. Maar eerst: dansen in het donker, verdwalen in de rookmachine tot het licht wordt.

De deuren gaan om 21:00 open, met dank aan onze helden aan de deur—vrijwilligers André, Alphons en Jacqueline—die jullie welkom heten. Maar pas op! Ze scannen sneller dan jij je jas terugvindt om 03:00.

De koude donkere dagen zijn aangebroken, tijd voor een koud en donker verhaal…
Voor de tweede editie van Bekijk Het Maar vertonen we Fargo (1996), het tragikomische meesterwerk van de gebroeders Coen. In deze ijzige misdaadfilm ontspoort een wanhopig uitgedacht ontvoeringsplan volledig wanneer amateuristische criminelen, foute keuzes en pure pech elkaar kruisen.

Fargo werd wereldwijd overladen met prijzen, waaronder Oscars voor het scenario en voor Frances McDormand in de hoofdrol.

Pandora returns! And... we have a very special event for you in store. We call her the queen of the Dutch scene and with good reason. She has already heated up our warehouse before in spectacular fashion: it’s Courtoisy label-boss and DJ Cynthia Spiering that will make her return to Pandora for an all-nighter on December 26th!


Known for her iconic sets at Rotterdam Rave, Verknipt, Awakenings and many of the largest festivals in the country, she is ready to turn Wibar inside-out again and share her unmatched skills behind the decks over a 6-hour set. Effortlessly blending Trance, Techno and Gabber, she takes over every dancefloor with ease. Get ready for an unforgettable night at Wibar once again!

De laatste Rollende Beats van 2025 komt eraan.
Dimitri keert terug als vaste waarde van onze eindejaarseditie. Verwacht een diepe, bezwerende flow zoals alleen hij die kan neerzetten: zorgvuldig opgebouwd, ritmisch strak en vol spanning.

Remy staat bekend om zijn donkere, rollende energie en zijn tijdloze gevoel voor groove. Een diepe, bewegende sound die elke ruimte verandert in pure flow.

Gestalt Effect
Gestalt Effect brengt een rauwe, hypnotiserende sound met een duidelijke knipoog naar de 90s. Strak, energiek en altijd met een opbouw die de dansvloer meeneemt.

People from around the globe will come to Leiden for the kendama competition during the day, and the kendama dance at night.
