JØASE is an Amsterdam-based DJ and producer pushing a high-energy mix of hardgroove, trance, and hardtrance - inspired by the raw, unfiltered energy of ‘90s and 2000s rave culture. From RADION to Thuishaven, he’s been carving out his space, with support from Andy Farley, Benwal, Rozie, Kyle Starkey, and Klubbheads.

In the studio, it’s all about evolution, constantly refining a sound that blends nostalgia with a forward edge, built for intensity, movement, and that moment when the dancefloor locks in as one.

But this tour is about more than just music. As nightlife gets priced up and pushed out, we believe it should stay in the hands of the artists, the bookers, and the dancers. No barriers, no gatekeeping. This one’s free.

The Story of Jenin | Film Screening & Q&A

On Friday August 28th, the Leiden Palestina Coalitie returns to Wibar for an evening of film, food and conversation.

, a documentary by Ehab Ghafri that follows the daily lives of the residents of Jenin refugee camp throughout 2024 and 2025. The film offers an intimate look at life under increasingly difficult circumstances, including the period after UNRWA stopped supporting the camp. The documentary is in Arabic with English subtitles.

After the screening, director Ehab Ghafri will join us for a conversation about the making of the film and the realities it captures.

Doors open at 18:00. Before the screening you can enjoy Palestinian food by Baytna Café The Hague, browse Palestinian products at the Fairtrade Palestine stall, and learn more about the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement.

Op 29 Augustus, de openingsdag van de PRIDE Leiden, is het EXTRAVAGANZA all the way in WIBAR ! Niemand minder dan de man die verantwoordelijk is voor maar liefst 5 officiële GAY PRIDE closings in Amsterdam in de afgelopen 10 jaar ( Rembrandtplein, De Dam, Reguliersdwarsstraat) komt naar Leiden! 

We hebben het dan natuurlijk over dé Dutch House Legend van de afgelopen 25 jaar DJ JEAN ! De man die in de jaren ’90 als resident DJ van de Zaterdag gaynight in de al even legendarische Club IT samen met eigenaar Manfred Langer er voor gezorgd heeft dat Nederland bovenaan de internationale gayscene kaart kwam te staan als “the place to be” ! Met zijn aanstekelijke , energieke, op Disco gebaseerde house tunes , doorspekt met pianootjes, saxofoontjes , en lots of vocals weet hij tot op de dag van vandaag nog steeds élke dansvloer omver te blazen en is hij met gemiddeld zo'n 200 optredens per jaar nog altijd de meest geboekte DJ van Nederland, en dat al 25 jaar lang…… 

Op deze avond waarin we de “golden era of extravaganza” weer enigzins gaan doen herleven wordt hij bijgestaan door zijn protégé MILLA MORE , die met haar geweldige uitstraling en soortgelijke sound perfect aansluit bij JEAN ! Met local hero Jamba óók nog van de partij kán er natuurlijk niets meer fout gaan, nú al gezellig! Tot 29 Augustus in WIBAR were we celebrate PRIDE!!

Hopefully you’ve kept the fire burning while we’ve been gone, but soon the summer is coming to an end and it’s time to step back into the warehouse. From September onwards we’re back in full force and we can't wait to welcome you back.

To ignite the new season properly we’re bringing in electro pioneer Detroit In Effect, flying in straight from Detroit with the kind of raw machine funk that helped shape dance music as we know it. Joining him for a special b2b is Dutch underground icon Serge, a true architect of the scene whose work with Clone Records has connected generations of dancers, diggers and artists across the globe.

Opening the night is crewfavourite jannah, delivering exactly the kind of sharp, uncompromising energy needed to set things in motion.

Jullie hebben het gevraagd, wij hebben geluisterd. Op 5 september doen we het nét even anders: een dageditie van The Laundry Club.

Verwacht een lange dag vol euforie, unreleased heaters, kwaliteits house maar vooral de vertrouwde Laundry energie! Wil je tussendoor even opladen? Dan kun je in De Binnenplaats lekker chillen en heerlijke houtgestookte pizza’s halen, zodat je met een goed gevulde maag weer terug de dansvloer op kan.

Onze residents en founders Coby Grey b2b Afternoon Delight trappen het af zoals alleen zij dat kunnen. Daarna is het de beurt aan Kara Okay, onze headliner, die vroeg op de dag al een heerlijk lange set komt draaien vol euforische sounds en ongelofelijk veel unreleased eigen materiaal.

Vervolgens verwelkomen we Lenny del Skon, hij reist af vanuit het zuiden en won de talent show van DGTL waarna hij in de legendarische Crane mocht draaien. Ook Flow State is erbij, een bekende naam uit de buurt met een rugtas vol unreleased platen die worden platgedraaid door o.a. Kettama, Benwal en Lammer.

AIS sluit de dag af. Wederom een groot talent uit de buurt die komt met snelle, bouncy energie om de dansvloer nog één laatste keer helemaal los te trekken.

For over a decade, IsBurning has been creating spaces where freedom, connection and self-expression come first. Born in Amsterdam’s queer underground, they’ve built dancefloors known for bringing people together through music, community and shared experience.

This night is about celebrating exactly that. A space where everyone is welcome, where no-nonsene house en techno carry us through the night and where the dancefloor belongs to all of us. The line-up will stay a secret until the day of, but you can be sure that it won't dissapoint...

Wibar ...IsBurning - Leiden Pride

In collaboration with Extinction Rebellion Leiden, Wibar hosts an evening on West Papua, one of the largest ongoing humanitarian crises in Southeast Asia: the destructive exploitation of the region, and the slow genocide of its indigenous population.

West Papua carries a loaded Dutch colonial history, and a disastrous Indonesian neo-colonial history and present. Climate justice here is under serious pressure. From that angle, XR Leiden is asking how they can support and strengthen the Free West Papua Campaign.

, a stark example of contemporary colonialism and exploitation. After the screening, invited guests join for a conversation on the film and the situation in West Papua. Speakers to be announced.

Hun duo-show was vorig jaar een van die avonden die nog lang bleef nazinderen, en we zijn dan ook bijzonder blij dat ze terugkeren naar Leiden.

 laat Erik de Jong al ruim 20 jaar een onmiskenbare indruk achter bij het Nederlandse publiek. Door zijn vele hits, zoals “Ik wil alleen maar zwemmen”, “Bagagedrager” en “Kom Terug”, groeide Spinvis uit tot een alom geliefd figuur, die nog steeds keer op keer weet te verwonderen met zijn muziek. Eigenzinnig en veelzijdig, muzikaal en poëtisch.

De Belgische zangeres, celliste, componist en theatermaker 

volgde een klassieke opleiding tot celliste en speelde in onder andere het Riciotti Ensemble, Het Gelders Orkest en I Fiamminghi. Al sinds 2003 speelt ze samen met 

Ze vonden elkaar in hun vergelijkbare blik op fantasie en werkelijkheid en hun brede muzikale smaak. Hun samenwerking resulteert in een intieme en sfeervolle voorstelling die je niet wilt missen.

On September 12th INDIE GLORIA returns to Wibar for another night filled with indie and alternative bangers. This time they're joined by a very special guest: Spinvis.

Known for his unique songwriting and unmistakable sound, Erik de Jong has spent more than two decades building a world entirely his own. Less known, but equally beloved by those in the know, are his DJ sets. Eclectic, surprising and impossible to pin down, they move effortlessly between forgotten gems, indie classics, leftfield pop and unexpected dancefloor moments.

Together with the INDIE GLORIA crew, he'll take over our booth for a night where genres blur and curiosity is rewarded. Expect everything from timeless singalongs to fresh discoveries, danceable indie, post-punk, new wave and plenty of records you won't hear anywhere else.

Whether you're a longtime Spinvis fan, an INDIE GLORIA regular, or simply looking for an alternative dancefloor, this is one you won't want to miss.

Narciss creates music that lives somewhere between pain and pleasure, turning emotion into pure release on the dancefloor. Their sound moves effortlessly between euphoric melodies, heavy low end and moments of pure catharsis, always carrying an intensity that resonates far beyond the club itself. Through their constantly evolving artistic journey built around transformation and self expression, Narciss has become one of the most exciting and distinctive voices in electronic music right now.

Joining them are two artists we’re equally proud to have on this line up.

36framez has become a familiar face in nightlife through their photography and  presence, but behind the lens sits one of the most exciting emerging selectors out there right now. Strictly vinyl, deeply passionate and armed with a record bag full of house and unexpected gems built for pure freedom on the dancefloor.

Opening the night is Leiden’s own DJ Spektrum, a true vinyl enthusiast whose sets pull inspiration from late 90s and early 00s. Expect sharp selections, unexpected twists and exactly the kind of energy we love to kick off the night with.

The immaculate Narciss finally makes their way to Leiden!

Wibar Invites Narciss

Na maanden in de studio is het moment eindelijk daar. Cosmic Debris presenteert met trots de release van hun nieuwe album Electrical Magic Woman.

Maak je klaar voor een avond vol loodzware riffs, psychedelische jams en grooves die je meenemen op een ruimtereis zonder eindbestemming. Met twee nieuwe bemanningsleden is Cosmic Debris uitgegroeid tot een viertal en klinkt de band groter, zwaarder en energieker dan ooit tevoren.

Om de avond compleet te maken trapt Hollow Drifter de avond af met hun eigen stevige dosis zware riffs en meeslepende rock. Daarna is het tijd voor Cosmic Debris om Electrical Magic Woman live tot leven te brengen.

On 19 September we take over De Wibar once again. Expect a high energy night driven by House, Hardhouse & Trance

This time we welcome headliner Luca v/d Hombergh, known for his track Favela and his ability to control the energy from start to finish. Alongside him stands Leidens own upcoming talent Xibalba , bringing a high energy and groovy trance sound. Danty and Casino will open the night and set the pace from the very first minute.

Together they build the night from start to finish. We move as one and dance until sunrise.

Every year, 2 October marks one of the biggest nights on our calendar. A celebration that brings together familiar faces, celebrates our city and makes for a dancefloor that somehow always finds another gear until the lights come on. We can't wait to welcome you in our warehouse yet again.


Leading the night is Ryan Elliott. Born in Detroit and based in Berlin, he has spent over two decades refining a sound that effortlessly connects the musical heritage of both cities. As a resident of Berghain and Panorama Bar, Ryan has built a reputation as one of those rare DJs who never settles for the obvious. His sets move between punchy house and driving techno with remarkable ease, guided by impeccable selection and a feel for the room that only comes with years behind the decks. Every record has a purpose, every transition tells a story.


Joining him for a special back to back are Wibar resident Kevin Lo and our very own Tom O'Riordan. Both obsessive diggers with a shared love for house music, they'll be diving deep into timeless grooves, rolling rhythms and soulful cuts for three hours straight. Make sure you arrive early to catch them work their magic.

Every year, 3 October marks one of the biggest nights on our calendar. A celebration that brings together familiar faces, celebrates our city and makes for a dancefloor that somehow always finds another gear until the lights come on. We can't wait to welcome you into our warehouse once again.


On 3 October we welcome BASHKKA to Wibar. A DJ and producer shaped by a decade in New York, her sound sits at the intersection of rhythm, emotion and connection. Moving between house and techno, her sets are playful yet precise, intimate yet expansive, always guided by a deep understanding of the dancefloor. From Panorama Bar to Blitz Club and beyond, she has built a reputation for creating moments where music, movement and community come together.


A familiar face returns as Valody takes over the decks. As one of our trusted Wibar regulars, she has become a beloved part of our story. Originally from Portugal and now based in Amsterdam, Valody brings a unique energy to every set. For this special night she leaves the heavier edges behind and dives into house, bringing her passion and carefully selected records straight to the floor.


Closing the night is angelboy. The Amsterdam based DJ and producer is known for high-energy sets where unexpected sounds, banging rhythms and pure joy collide. With a background rooted in queer community and a love for pushing boundaries, they turn every dancefloor into a space for connection, release and celebration.
