fter two strong editions, we return for our third chapter.

On may 15th we take over De Wibar once again. Expect a high energy night driven by Hardhouse, Trance and Bouncy Techno. Fast rhythms. Sharp kicks and no breaks on the dancefloor.

This time we welcome Australian force Jokesonyou. His sound blends groove and pressure with precision. Alongside him stands Kellar, known for tight selections and relentless energy. Local talent Bacqer completes the lineup and sets the tone with the perfect energy.

Together they build the night from start to finish. We move as one and dance until sunrise.

De Opkomst

For our first session at the wibar expect high energy (Hard)House and Trance, a lineup that lives for it and a floor for anyone who gets it. The night builds, the records speak for themselves and the vibe takes care of the rest — just a room where the music takes over and everyone belongs. Come through.

Palestine 48 is a term used by Palestinians to refer to Israel and the region where they lived before the partition of Palestine and from which they were expelled. In 1948, more than 600 Palestinian villages were destroyed by Zionist militias and later by the Israeli army; the descendants of the inhabitants of these villages tell their stories. Palestine 48 then presents several sites of former Palestinian villages now hidden among pine forests, converted into fitness trails, or left in ruins; some on which a kibbutz, a vacation club, or a psychiatric hospital has been built. At each of these sites, Palestinians share their childhood experiences or the stories their parents told them.

Het legendarische Hitsterbingo is terug, maar dit keer nog groter, luider en feestelijker dan ooit! Bereid je voor op Muziekbingo in XXL-formaat: teams vol energie, muzikale herinneringen en eindeloze meezingmomenten.

Van tijdloze klassiekers tot nummers waarvan je dacht dat je ze allang vergeten was, hier zing je elk woord moeiteloos mee, precies wanneer je het het minst verwacht.

De avond wordt gehost door Joost de Host, die met zijn humor, overtuiging en een snufje theatrale overdrijving de hele zaal door de muzikale chaos leidt.

We’re thrilled to welcome one of the wildest riders in the new generation of club producers and DJs. A selector who refuses to stay in one lane, LB aka LABAT tears through filtered house, techno, UKG and hard house, stitching it all together into sweaty, euphoric dancefloor moments that feel both nostalgic and completely new.

His sets feel like a direct line between the spirit of 90s rave and the mutant club sounds of today. Fast hands, swinging arms and a floor that doesn’t get a moment to breathe.

Born in Strasbourg and raised between France and India, Labat started mixing at the age of seven after inheriting his brother’s turntables. By fifteen he was already playing nightclubs while his mother waited outside. Since then he has been on a steady gallop across the global club circuit, from Nuits Sonores to Boiler Room and far beyond.

Born from Amsterdam’s queer underground, IsBurning has grown into one of the most loved club nights around, known for its open energy, strong sense of community and dancefloors that feel both intimate and explosive. This night, they bring that same spirit back to Leiden.

Expect a night centred around house music, guided by selectors who know how to read the room and build something together with the crowd. The line-up stays under wraps, but trust us, it will deliver.

Wibar ...IsBurning

 is een luide, meeslepende en radicale locatievoorstelling, gebaseerd op het gelijknamige boek van Nanni Balestrini.

Tussen staal, beton en de sporen van arbeid wordt het publiek ondergedompeld in een wereld waar productie, uitputting en verzet voelbaar aanwezig zijn. De voorstelling vindt plaats op een unieke locatie: de Wibar in Leiden. Een monumentale installatie opgebouwd uit auto-onderdelen, gereedschap en metalen objecten vormt het decor en het muzikale instrument.De muziek is de motor van de voorstelling: Alexandra Bellon componeert de muziek en bespeelt de verschillende percussieve ‘werkstations’ als aan een lopende band — fysiek, repetitief en steeds intenser.

Terwijl de muziek door de ruimte weergalmt volgen we het leven van een anonieme arbeidsmigrant in de jaren ’70, die werkt zoekt in de iconische Fiat-fabriek van Turijn. Zijn dagen bestaan uit repetitief werk, weinig slaap en een toekomst die langzaam verdampt. De fabriek dicteert het ritme van zijn lichaam. De woede onder de arbeiders groeit, tot verzet en opstand onvermijdelijk wordt. Hij heeft niets meer te verliezen en is bereid alles te laten ontbranden.

Tegenover hem staat zijn kleindochter: Generatie X. ZZP’er, altijd in beweging. Over-gediplomeerd, opgejaagd, gevangen in een permanente staat van productiviteit. Met een volle agenda, korte nachten, feesten tot diep in de ochtend en een neiging tot escapisme. Is dit alles wat er is? Is dit alles wat ze wil?Is ze bereid, net als haar grootvader, in opstand te komen?

WE WANT EVERYTHING gaat over macht en onmacht in een maatschappij die al meerdere generaties steeds meer produceert en meer consumeert. Tussen 1970 en 2025 wordt het publiek meegezogen in een compromisloze locatievoorstelling die de ruwheid van het kapitalisme zichtbaar, hoorbaar en voelbaar maakt.

On Friday May 29th we dive into a club classics special at Wibar.

A full night dedicated to club music from the late 80s and 90s. The kind of tracks you'll recognize within seconds, mixed with a few you forgot about and plenty guilty pleasures along the way.

Guiding the night is Kennedy, who's been submerged in records and clubbing for three decades, having first learnt from the Dutch masters who paved the way to legendary clubs and club nights such as RoXY, iT, Nighttown, Chemistry, De Waakzaamheid and De DansSalon.

JØASE is an Amsterdam-based DJ and producer pushing a high-energy mix of hardgroove, trance, and hardtrance - inspired by the raw, unfiltered energy of ‘90s and 2000s rave culture. From RADION to Thuishaven, he’s been carving out his space, with support from Andy Farley, Benwal, Rozie, Kyle Starkey, and Klubbheads.

In the studio, it’s all about evolution, constantly refining a sound that blends nostalgia with a forward edge, built for intensity, movement, and that moment when the dancefloor locks in as one.

But this tour is about more than just music. As nightlife gets priced up and pushed out, we believe it should stay in the hands of the artists, the bookers, and the dancers. No barriers, no gatekeeping. 

Bringing it to Leiden, a city that once served as a home base, makes this stop more than just another night. It’s a return to familiar ground, where it all connects: past energy, present momentum, and a shared dancefloor.

We’re celebrating Wibar’s anniversary this June, going all in on Lucky Number 7.

This birthday we’ve got a royal flush in hand. Irish-born, Berlin based dj and producer Spray will be headlining the night, playing his best hand of hypnotic trance, progressive house, layered rhythms and glistening melodic moments. Opening the night, dj-duo Mudfat will be banking their luck with a rich and eclectic combo of acid house, deep house, dub and groove. Last to spin the wheel will be Valody, raising the stakes with a musical selection rooted in house, crafting an unstoppable energy that enchants all who join the rhythm.
