People from all around the world are coming together to see who will qualify for EKC 2026, the biggest kendama event in Europe.

KENDAMA DANCE returns to Wibar on January 10th. ☄️

Once a year the Kendama scene takes over Wibar and invites us into their world. We’re teaming up with EKC to bring you a night filled with infectious music, community and pure excitement.

Expect a wild ride from start to finish. We kick things off with Oakland house infused with Latin influences by Jay Queens from Chicago. Carrad follows with electronica seasoned with bass music, after which Ody brings her high energy blend of jungle and garage. From there it’s full throttle with UKG from Leiden’s own Lacy Boy, funky techno trance and bubbling from DJ BAMI, and a final dose of controlled chaos by Zip Bomb.

Artists from all over the world, one dancefloor, and a community that knows how to move together. Come discover Kendama Dance and be part of it.

Tijdens deze eerste editie veranderen we de Wibar in een kidsproof club vol disco, dans, glitters en creativiteit.

Little Ravers



In DE AMBITIEUZEN van stadsgezelschap PS|theater verweven theatermakers 

 de ambities, verlangens en obstakels van vrouwen op de werkvloer tot een muzikale spoken word voorstelling.
Geïnspireerd door gesprekken met uiteenlopende vrouwen onderzoeken ze wat er schuilgaat achter de cijfers van de loonkloof, de ongelijke verdeling van zorg en discriminatie op de werkvloer. Van de directeur die voor stagiair wordt aangezien tot de huisvrouw die steeds weer hoort dat ze “niets met haar talenten doet.”


Overweldigd door het veelkoppige monster van genderongelijkheid breken Judith en Rian in tijdens een vergadering van een bedrijf. Ze delen de verhalen die ze hoorden, en stellen de vraag: wie zit er aan tafel — en wie niet? Welke stoel blijft leeg, en welke stem blijft
ongehoord? Het leven hoeft geen 'rat race' naar de top te zijn. Maar wat als de mensen daar wel bepalend zijn voor jouw levensloop?


De verhalen, muziek en spoken word buitelen over elkaar heen, tot ook zij zelf verstrikt raken in hun zoektocht naar een oplossing. Dan wenden ze zich tot het publiek:

Na een geslaagde eerste editie zijn we op 16 januari terug op een nieuwe locatie: De Wibar. Verwacht een avond vol Hardhouse, Trance en Bouncy techno met een mix van bekende namen en lokale artiesten.

Op het programma staan onder andere Autoflower, Hurts b2b Nyco, AIS en Makso. Samen zorgen ze dat we dansen tot de zon opkomt🌅

Get ready for a sweaty and steamy new dance night by the creators of Discotheef. Expect harder music, a heavier line-up and new dark and sexy nooks to explore. We are excited to invite you to Wibar for Ravetheef, a queer rave space with a no-pictures policy and an intimate club night where freedom comes first and sexiness reigns.

Ravetheef is a queer party that offers a space for people who want to let loose, get steamy and forget about the outside world for one night. We offer a safe space throughout the night where taking pictures or videos is not allowed, and where any kind of discrimination or violence is prohibited and will lead to immediate removal. The Ravetheef team will be present throughout the night to guarantee this safe space, as well as a doorhost who makes sure that all guests coming in will adhere to our house rules.

The main room is meant for dancing, connecting and letting loose. We therefore discourage phone use on the dancefloor and ask everyone to check their phones in the hallways, toilets or smokers’ area. Upstairs we have a smaller, calmer room where you can catch your breath or get steamy with your new connections.

90’s Rave returns to Wibar on Friday January 30th. A night rooted in the spirit of the 90s, focused on music that keeps the floor moving non-stop.

Leiden's NANTON opens with an all vinyl set. Raw selections, no shortcuts, just records doing the work. PHIA brings a sound that sits deep in house, with touches of breaks, electro and acid woven in. Her sets flow naturally, building a steady energy that’s felt across the room. Rounding off the night is THOMP$ON, known for laying down solid, driving house sets that keep things locked in until late. See you there!

On Thursday February 6 we welcome one of the most talked-about acts of the moment to Wibar: 

This five-headed crew is reshaping the trance landscape with a deep-rooted love for the golden era of the 90s and early 2000s, while keeping their sound firmly grounded in the present. After years of exploring leftfield house and techno, the friends reconnected over their shared passion for peak-time trance and quickly emerged as one of the scene’s most exciting forces.

Known for their unmistakable all-white aesthetic and the SHOW YOUR EMOTIONS mantra, SUPERSTRINGS fully embrace the emotional core of trance culture. Their sets are anything but ironic. Expect carefully reworked classics, forgotten gems and high-energy originals, all blended into a sharp, modern and unmistakably Superstrings sound.

Behind the decks, their chemistry is impossible to miss. The group delivers a hi-NRG take on trance packed with unexpected turns, big emotions and serious momentum. Add their reputation for sold-out stage hostings and legendary large-scale parties across the Netherlands, and you know exactly what kind of night this is going to be.

We are teaming up with Rastaplas Festival to welcome one of the most iconic sound systems in the Netherlands. King Shiloh Sound System brings their stacks to Leiden with the full setup, the full crew and the deep roots energy they have carried across the world for more than three decades.

Founded in Amsterdam in 1991 and inspired by Jah Rastafari, King Shiloh has grown into an international force within roots reggae and dub. Their handmade forty kilowatt six way stereo sound system sits at the centre of everything they do. It is the engine behind their sessions, their label Majestic Music and their reputation as pioneers across Europe.

King Shiloh is known as the traveling sound. In the past twenty years they have covered more ground with their system than any other in Europe, their presence has shaped the culture far beyond the Netherlands.

For this night they are bringing a powerful line-up from the Shiloh family. Alongside Bredda Neil you will see Majestic Bee, Lidj Shiloh, Rapha Pico and DJ Ewa Sound. Expect vocalists, operators and selectors who know exactly how to push a session to its highest point.

Rooted in Rastaplas tradition and carried by one of the most respected sound systems in the scene, this night will be a full vibration. Ploegen op rotsen. Zonder weerstand geen schoonheid. Ploegendienst is nog altijd 100% anti-alles, "zeker anti-alles wat mensen zeggen dat je moet zijn." Ploegendienst is niet die band die je vorig jaar een kroeg zag afbreken, ook al lijken ze daar misschien wel op. Ploegendienst is "constante groei", "geen angst"; een constant spanningsveld. De vier leggen elkaar het vuur aan de schenen, pulken het bloed onder elkaars nagels vandaan - en al die wrijving gaf nog nooit zoveel glans als op het nieuwe album DSM-5.

Noem het hardcore, noem het punk, noem het "venijnige popmuziek". Noem het wat je wilt, het maakt niet uit. Ploegendienst gaat rücksichtslos te werk en bestaat alleen in het moment. Dat moment? Dan moet je de punkband rond Ray Fuego live aan het werk zien.

Een uitverkochte tour met de vrienden van Jeugd van Tegenwoordig, shows in de beste clubs van Nederland en België en volle festivalzomers -waaronder Pukkelpop, Pinkpop en Lowlands- zet de band definitief op de kaart.
